Spring 2005 Shuyokan - Shuyokai Training Camp
Open to Instructors and Students
Submit your application to attend the 2005 Camp.

Dates: March 7 - 12, 2005
     Monday - Saturday (see Schedule below)
     Saturday Evening : Banquet celebrating Shuyokan's 25th year (more info below)

Training Location: Shuyokan Martial Arts Center (now with 2 mat rooms for training)

Fee: $140 U.S. Dollars (per person, Non-Refundable).
          Certified checks or money orders (made payable to A.F.C.),
          PayPal, or
          MasterCard and VISA credit cards (contact Sensei Dye)
          Testing fees for Black Belt promotions: $200
              (Fees must be received at the Shuyokan no later than February 28, 2005).

Fee Includes:
     Training Camp, Celebration Dinner on Saturday the 12th, one copy of the book "Aiki Tool Box", Camp T-Shirt, Certificate of Completion, and a Class Photo. The Class Photo will be taken on the first day of the camp. Registration fee must be received no later than February 1, 2005. No fees will be accepted after that date or during the camp.

Celebration Dinner:
     A banquet dinner celebrating the 25th anniversary of the founding of the Shuyokan and Sensei Dye's 43 years in the martial arts. There will be entertainment, martial arts film celebrities, dinner, awards, demonstrations and promotions (casual dress). Any and all promotions from Wednesday's testing will be announced and presented at the banquet. Reserved seating can be arranged for parties of 8 or more. Mark your calendar and plan on attending.
     Dinner seating will be promptly at 6:00pm at the Costa Mesa Neighborhood Community Center, 1845 Park Avenue, Costa Mesa, California. No reservations will be accepted at the door on the night of the event.

Certificate Of Completion:
     Those participants who complete the entire training camp (35.5 hrs.) will receive an 11x14 gold bordered Shuyokan Training Camp Certificate in Japanese Kanji.

Promotional Exams:
     Shuyokai Instructors and camp participants wishing to test for Yudan promotions must note on their online Camp Registration if they intend to take a promotional exam. Those applicants will then be contacted to discuss the requirements for testing. Applicants must list the last date of their promotion on the online application.

Travel and Lodging:
     Participants attending this camp will be responsible for providing their own travel and lodging expenses. You may contact Shuyokan to obtain a list of local hotels that are in the area of the Dojo.
