Policies and Procedures Youth Aikido is offered to children ages 5 to 17 years old. This class is designed to teach the importance of self discipline and respect for family members, home and school. Students are instructed how to resolve conflict without turning to violence. Parents are encouraged to sit in on the classes to help reinforce these principles. A traditional white judo-gi is required for all students to attend. Connie Bartlett has been appointed to the position of Shuoyokan Youth Director. The Youth Director is responsible for attending both Shuyokan Youth Classes and the Samurai Cop Academy Classes, attending scheduled Yudansha-Kai meetings to represent the members of the Youth Aikido classes, and various other assigned duties. As before, members of the Youth Aikido class may direct their questions, comments and concerns to Sensei Dye and any member of the Yudansha-Kai, but now they have the Director of Youth Aikido as an additional point of contact. Please feel free to contact Connie Bartlett.
